William Shakespeare’s tragic Othello is coming to The Warehouse Theatre July 20th through August 6th, 2017. Othello, which will also be The Warehouse’s Educational Touring Show, will make its debut on the main stage for a limited run before touring South Carolina this fall.

Co-direction for the production falls to long time Warehouse collaborators Anne Kelly Tromsness and Maegan Azar. Tromsness is the Drama Instructor for the ARMES Program, and teaches theatre at the Fine Arts Center. Azar is the Assistant Professor of Acting and Directing at Furman University.

Othello explores what happens when evil and manipulation are loosed upon a world where inequity and jealousy already reign. Featuring three of Shakespeare’s most compelling characters, the show is filled with manipulation, xenophobia, and love’s struggle for survival. Set in a not-so-distant future, the show will clock in at 75 fast-moving minutes.

The show features Stephen Brown, Cory Phelps, Amanda Sox, Crystal Stewart, Angelina Mussro, and Kashaad Kraus.

Tickets are only $15 for this thrilling ride through deceit, manipulation, and power. The July 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29, and August 3, 4, 5 performances will be at 8:00pm. The July 23, 30, and August 6 performances will be at 3:00pm. Tickets can be purchased at or by calling 864-235-6948.
