The explosive and popular contemporary movie bursts onto the stage as a full-fledged musical! In this rousing story, a young outsider named Ren attempts to revitalize a small town that banned dancing and loud music after the death of five teenagers, but Ren’s feelings for the local minister’s daughter complicate his mission. The rocking, Oscar-nominated, Top 40 score includes Let’s Hear It for the Boy, Holding Out for a Hero, and, of course, Footloose!

In this madcap comedy, love, politics, and, well…everything are not what they seem.

The Greenville Little Theatre (GLT) brings in the Holiday season with Jingle All The Way! This 55-minute family musical, by Catherine Bush and Dax Dupuy, is about life at the North Pole. It’s not easy being Jangle the Elf, the twin brother of Santa’s #1 Helper, Jingle. No matter what job Jangle is assigned to in Santa’s Workshop, his sister Jingle can do it faster and better. Then a letter arrives for Santa at the North Pole, requiring a Top Priority Gift. The trouble is no one – including Jingle – knows how to make it. Will Jangle be able to save Christmas?

The talented cast includes: Carter Allen, Cat McWhirter, Sam McCalla, Emily Grove, Cory Granner, and Evan Harris as Santa Claus.

The Mousetrap

The longest running show in history, The Mousetrap captures five guests and their two hosts in Monkswell Manor. A local woman has been murdered, and a note left at the scene of the crime indicates that the murderer intends to visit the Manor. The snowbound guests could all be the murderer or the next victim.  With a children’s song as his only clue, can Detective Trotter solve the mystery of “The Three Blind Mice” before the killer claims their final victim?

A game of mystery, intrigue, humor, and “fowl” play are afoot in this Christmas case. In the end, even the World’s Greatest Detective has a thing or two to learn about the true meaning of Christmas. Lumière, Mrs. Potts, and Cogsworth help her understand her new world, and Belle learns that adventure isn’t just found in the pages of a book.
