Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast”

The Academy Award-winning film comes to life in this romantic and beloved take on the classic fairytale. The story tells of the relationship between Belle, a young woman in a provincial town and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. 2nd Stage provides even more hands-on theatre experiences for young people and their families in an intimate performance space. In addition to child-friendly shows at family-friendly prices, it serves as a public forum for SCCT’s social awareness programs, and a showcase spot for conservatory performances. 2nd Stage also provides space for collaborative projects such as Timbre Tales and gives SCCT the opportunity to produce great plays that are lesser known. Wake Up, Brother Bear!

You loved the Teddy Bears’ Picnic and Go To Bed, Little Raccoon! WEEPLAY THEATRE is now offering up more fantastic, interactive fun for the very young. Join Brother and Sister Bear and experience a full year of glorious seasons. Watch a waterfall melt, meet a butterfly, chase a fish, and skate on an ice pond. Children get to join the action with a bag of props that help create magical moments.

Two Dancing Princesses

Who doesn’t love a fairytale? Follow the two daughters of an overprotective father who escape to a dance party every night. Dad has agreed to give half of his land and the hand of one of them to the suitor that can figure where they are going. This “swing” version of the Grimm Fairytale, based on Twelve Dancing Princesses, is fun for boys and girls and there will be a post-show dance party after every performance.
