Payments for January, February, and March will be distributed earlier than usual to ensure beneficiaries receive their funds on time, especially during holidays and weekends.

According to the SSA, this change is intended to prevent financial disruptions. They clarified in a statement:
“We make these changes to ensure you don’t face any financial disadvantages. It allows us to provide payments without delays caused by holidays. However, this does not mean you’re receiving duplicate payments in the prior month. There’s no need to contact us to report such payments.”

If payments are delayed, the SSA advises waiting for three working days before reaching out. Federal holidays and weekends do not count as working days.
