Federal authorities arrested 81 undocumented immigrants during the week of March 10-14, 2025, as part of Operation Take Back America, with 18 facing criminal charges, the U.S. Attorney’s office for the Western District of Kentucky announced Friday.
The U.S. attorney’s office said charges include illegal reentry after deportation, unlawful firearm possession, and drug-related offenses.
The office reported that those criminally charged are from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador.
Notably, the office also said individuals from Cuba, India, and Palau were among those administratively arrested but were not charged with crimes.
Among those charged, the office detailed the following cases:
- Angel David Zuniga-Baca, 35, Honduras – Illegal reentry, firearm possession (maximum 17 years)
- Ewin Cabrera-Cabrera, 33, Honduras – Illegal reentry (maximum two years)
- Luis Alberto Torres-Flores, 35, El Salvador – Illegal reentry (maximum two years)
- Lorenzo Perez-Perez, 33, Guatemala – Illegal reentry (maximum two years)
- Esteban Perez-Cristostomo, 45, Guatemala – Illegal reentry (maximum two years)
- Zoiber Hernandez-Dominguez, 50, Mexico – Firearm possession (maximum 15 years)
- Humberto Avila-Duran, 54, Mexico – Illegal reentry, firearm possession (maximum 17 years)
- Edi Diaz-Lopez, 30, Mexico – Meth distribution, firearm possession (maximum 40 years)
- Alvaro Mandujano-Rodriguez, 32, Mexico – Illegal reentry, firearm possession (maximum 17 years)
- Williams Josue Rodriguez-Calix, 28, Honduras – Illegal reentry (maximum two years)
“I commend the work of our federal law enforcement partners, prosecutors, and support personnel who worked tirelessly to make this operation a success,” said U.S. Attorney Michael A. Bennett of the Western District of Kentucky.
