North Myrtle Beach welcomes a new dining spot, Spudz and Saladz, at 865 Highway 17. The restaurant is celebrating its grand opening this week with special discounted entrees, offering signature dishes for just $7 until Sunday, November 24.
Customizable Dining Options
Spudz and Saladz features a unique menu centered around baked potatoes, wraps, and salad bowls. Signature items like the Surf ‘n Turf and Philly Spudz take center stage, but diners can also create their own meals. Customers start with a base and can load up their dishes with a wide variety of toppings, including meats, vegetables, sauces, cheeses, and even macaroni and cheese.
A Legacy of Flavor
Owner Tim Wright brings decades of restaurant experience to the Grand Strand. Wright’s journey began in Ohio in 1975, where he owned Jersey Mike’s Subs locations and the Gahanna Grill. It was at the Gahanna Grill that he introduced his signature loaded potatoes, which became a hit among customers. “I made these spuds, and everyone just loved them,” Wright said. “So I’ve been in the restaurant business, and that’s where it’s come from.”
Future Expansion Plans
Currently, Spudz and Saladz is Wright’s first venture in the Myrtle Beach area, but the concept is already garnering attention from potential franchisees. Discussions about expanding with more locations in the region are underway, signaling a promising future for the brand.
