FAIRBURN, GA — A deadly shooting early Wednesday morning claimed two lives in the Lakes at Cedar Grove community in Fairburn, prompting an intense investigation by South Fulton police.

The incident occurred around 3 a.m. at a home just off South Fulton Parkway. Authorities responded to reports of gunfire after neighbors reported hearing multiple shots coming from the home’s garage area.

Upon arrival, officers discovered two people dead at the scene. A third individual has been detained for questioning, though police have yet to release the identities of the victims or the person in custody.
